Pumpkin Soup

In The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword from 2011, there is an island called “Pumpkin Landing” that grows pumpkins and exclusively sells Pumpkin Soup. There is even a mini-game where you have to carry a stack of Pumpkins from the field into the Lumpy Pumpkin restaurant. Nintendo evidently has some sort of obsession with pumpkin being used as a soup ingredient, as this isn’t even the first Zelda game to feature pumpkin soup. It would be difficult for you, however, to find somebody in the real world who is familiar with such a dish.

My brother, inspired by Skyward Sword, makes a pumpkin soup every thanksgiving. It is a creamy, savory soup who’s pumpkin flavor makes it an excellent addition at Thanksgiving, particularly during the first course, served alongside my Above Average Dinner Rolls.
